Energy Modeling and Thermal Simulation
ASC Engineers have invested in sophisticated software packages designed to model energy usage and to minimise operating costs for air conditioning systems heating and ventilation systems. The load estimation and energy modleing software enables the evaluation of various cooling options to determine the most appropriate building design by addressing issues such as:
The thermal modeling software performs heat load calculations to determine the cooling and heating requirements of any building and any form of air conditioning system to predict the system sizing loads and energy usage. The system can perform and hourly analysis for an entire year based on simulated weather condition based on historical ambient temperature for a specific location
The software also allows for the effects of shading and the influence on the building heat loads and energy usage. |
CFD Modeling
The complex relation between air flow distribution and containment level in the indoor environment can be visualized with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling software. ASC Engineers have been utilizing CFD modeling for specific application since the company’s inception. The software computes a three dimensional model of the air flow distribution including air velocity temperature profile and contamination level and is of specific benefits in the design of operating theatre isolation rooms and other areas in health care facilities where air quality and air flow management is critical. The CFD modeling can also be applied to meeting and conference room, auditorium and the like where specific space parameter such and furniture and people can be included in the assessment. The software can also be applied to the assessment of smoke distribution and exhaust system, and for the determination of air flow and temperature distribution with natural ventilation. |
